Film Festival, which will take place during Bumbershoot in Seattle,

Joshua Caldwell and Travis Oberlander have begun work on their first
full-length script, currently titled "Coincidence." Josh will be pitching
the script when he meets with several producers and managers in LA later
this month.

Meydenbauer Entertainment is happy to announce that Joshua Caldwell was
awarded the first ever MTV Movie Award for Best Student Filmmaker at the
2006 MTV Movie Awards on Saturday, June 3rd. Actor Zach Braff (Scrubs,
Garden State) presented the award to Josh on stage at the awards ceremony,
which will air on Thursday the 8th, in front of celebrities such as Kevin
Spacey, Kate Beckinsale and Steve Carell. A nine-year veteran of film and
video production, Caldwell¹s nomination and subsequent win marks the first
national exposure of his work and latest project, a short film entitled "The
Beautiful Lie."

Principle photography has wrapped on "The Family Will." Everyone came out and gave it their all and we have a really great short film on our hands. The footage will soon be handed to the editor, John Rosen, and we'll have more news for you shortly.

"The Beautiful Lie" won both First Place and the Audience Award at the First Annual Fordham C.I.T.Y. Student Film Festival. We're very pleased with the win and want to thank the organizers for putting on a great event.

Production has wrapped on the short film "Best Laid Plan," directed by Bryan D'Alessandro and produced by Rick Silvestrini and Joshua Caldwell.
It was a long four days, but we got everything done. Everyone worked hard and we want to say thanks to everyone for coming out and helping. Stay tuned for updates.

"The Beautiful Lie" has been accepted into competition at the 2006 Fordham C.I.T.Y Student Film Festival. This means it will be eligible for the prizes to be awarded, including a Grand Prize of Final Cut Pro.
The festival takes place on Tuesday, April 12, at Fordham University Rose Hill in Walsh Library. Seven films were accepted. There will be a Q&A with the filmmakers after the screenings.

"Family Will" is coming along smoothly. The cast is beginnning to round out and Josh is looking forward to production, which has been schedule for April 22-23. The film will be shot in Harlem and New Jersey. Stay tuned for updates.

"The Beautiful Lie" is now complete. It has been submitted to a number of small festivals. We are currently working on the DVD and prepping it's festival submissions. We'll keep you updated on future screenings.

Josh Caldwell has signed on as a producer and assistant director for the Super16 film "Best Laid Plan." The film is being directed by Bryan D'Alessandro, who generously stepped in at the last minute to Assistant Direct 'Making the Team.'

Joshua Caldwell and Meydenbauer Entertainment have been approached by Eric Myrick Jr. and Kevin Threat to direct and produce a short based on their feature length screenplay 'Family Will.' The script, a comedy about the Hines family of Cleveland, Ohio as they try and get their grandmother's inheritance from their thievin' pastor, the Reverend 'Hollaback' Adams, has interest from a number of production companies and studios. In addition to film festivals, the short will be used to garner interest and a greenlight in the production of the feature length version. Josh is very excited to be a part of this project.

Michael Tremante has finished the score for 'The Beautiful Lie." Hans will now be creating the final sound mix and the films should completed by the end of the month. Stayed tuned as we will have the complete film available to view.

Production is all set for the new Heineken specs. On Sunday the 12th Meydenbauer will be shooting four new spec commercials from Heineken.
Final cast is to be determined. However, thus far we have: David Mason, Allison Doss, Jeny Batten, Brian Gillespie, Sarah Wheeler, Kevin Thoms and Carl Louis.
Thibaut Fagonde will be the director of photography.

Production has rolled on Meydenbauer Entertainment’s new film “Making the Team.” It was a long weekend, with long hours, and we can’t applaud our wonderful cast and crew enough. They all did such a fantastic job in helping to get this film completed. Everyone stepped up to the plate when we needed it and we’ve come away from this with an amazingly funny and entertaining film.
Josh, Jeny, Brian and Helene, along with part of the crew, will be returning to Long Island to grab a few pick up shots in a couple of weeks.
In the meantime, keep checking back for the official Making the Team website, complete with behind the scenes photos, storyline, video diaries and the trailer. All coming soon!
